The story so far…
He grew up a quarterback. When his summer track team needed him to enter one more event, he looked at the kids throwing javelin and figured a football arm should translate. It did — he placed 22nd at USATF Nationals his very first year of throwing.
Seven years and one elbow surgery later, he's an Alabama state medalist with a 171'9" PR — training with Olympic throws coach Gabor Máté, climbing back stronger than before, with eyes on the state record and a roster spot at West Point.
The numbers are part of the story. The mindset is the rest of it.
